Assessment Settings
Assessment settings are used to set rules that describe how the test is to be taken. This includes options such as availability, time limit and marking options.
Using combinations of these settings, it is possible to create examinations, curriculum tests, homework, quizzes and revision exercises.
To set the assessment settings you must first select an E-Class and test within the E-Class from the Test View screen.
- Select an E-Class from the EC Editor Menu
- Click on Tests
- Select a test / Import a new test
- Edit the assessment settings
- Press Save
Options
- Time Limit - If the Time Limit check box is ticked, the candidate must finish the test in the allotted time. If they have not finished when the time limit is reached, the test is marked anyway.
- Instant Results - If the Instant Results check box is ticked, candidates taking the test will receive their results immediately after they have finished the test.
- Test Review - If the Test Review check box is ticked, the student is given the option to browse through the questions after they have taken the test, where they can compare their answers to the correct answers and view explanations (Monitor Results must be enabled to reload test reviews).
- Monitor Results - If the Monitor Results check box is ticked, the candidate's results, answers and time taken are saved to the server. When this option is set, the student may only access the test once. The test can then be reviewed by the E-Class Administrator and the candidate if the Test Review option is enabled.
- Available From (server time and date) - If the Available From check box is ticked, the test will not appear until 30 minutes before the set time and date. Candidates will not be able to begin the test until the set time. This means tests can be preloaded before candidates take the test.
- Available Until (server time and date) - If the Available Until check box is ticked, the candidates will not be able to access the test after the set time and date.
